State AI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Health & Fitness Data. With your permission, we access Apple HealthKit data including activity, workouts, sleep, and related metrics. This data is used solely to provide personalized coaching and insights within the app.
• Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and profile information you choose to provide.
• Usage Data. We collect anonymous analytics about how you interact with the app to improve our service.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize AI coaching features

• To communicate important updates about the app

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Health data synced from HealthKit is stored in your private account and is never sold to third parties.

AI Processing & Third-Party Services

State AI cannot read a blood panel, recognise a meal or answer a question about your week on its own. To do those things it sends the relevant data to two AI providers, which process it and return a result. We ask for your agreement inside the app before any of this happens, and you can see exactly what is covered there.

Google (Gemini) receives photos and descriptions of meals you log, lab reports and medical documents you upload, and the daily health metrics behind your Health Age, in order to extract structured results and generate your daily and weekly summaries.

OpenAI receives the messages you write to the AI coach along with the logs and results it draws on to answer, and, if you start a voice call, your audio and its transcript.

Both providers act as processors on our behalf under agreements that require confidentiality and security protections equivalent to our own. Neither uses your data to train their models, and neither is permitted to sell it or use it for advertising. Your name and email address are not sent with it. We do not sell, trade or share your personal health data with any third party for marketing purposes.

We also use cloud hosting and payment providers that process data strictly to run the service. If you decline AI processing, the AI features are unavailable and nothing is sent to these providers.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also revoke HealthKit permissions through your device settings.
